Equine-Assisted Therapy is provided by licensed medical or behavioral health professionals. These include occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language therapy and more. A therapist determines how equine interactions, movement, or other aspects of the environment may enhance the participants individual treatment plan. Using such things so as to improve the participants cognitive, emotional, behavioral, or psychological needs for improved health and wellness. Therapist have specialized training focused on the safe inclusion of horses in the different treatments.
Equines for Fosters is in the process of getting different therapists from different occupational backgrounds to assist in these activities for fosters that join our program.
